The Britannia is a fantastic pub in the heart of the Dungeness estate, an area of outstanding beauty and home to extremely rare wildlife.
The pub is located in between the two Dungeness lighthouses and within a few minutes walk of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway, which claims to be the world's smallest public railway, with a gauge of just 15 inches. There is also disabled access to the beach immediately opposite the pub.
The Britannia is open all day throughout the summer months and lunchtimes and evenings during the winter. Excellent quality food is available with fresh local fish being a speciality.
There is a 100 covers in the restaurant and conservatory areas. Celebration parties and family gatherings are most welcome.
If you fancy a nice meal in front of the fantastic view of the second largest shingles bank in the world, the pub has a garden for 'al fresco' eating and drinking.
The Britannia really is well worth a visit.
